LEH MANALI ADVENTURE TOUR (8NIGHTS/9DAYS)

Lying at an altitude of 3524m is LEH, the biggest town in LADAKH, the newly declared union territory of India. Bounded by Pakistan occupied Kashhmir in the West ,China in the North and East,and Himachal Pradesh in the South East,Ladakh is also called the Land of Endless Discoveries.Famous for its breathtaking landscapes,crystal clear blue skies and high mountain passes.You have the mighty Karakoram range in the North and the Great Himalayan range in the South.The peak of Stok Kangri provides as high a climb as possible for the amateur climber allowing a great view of the Himalayas. The town is dominated by the now ruined Leh Palace.During the 17th century, Ladakh  was the stopover point for the trade route between Punjab and Central Asia. Caravans carrying textiles,spices,raw silk,carpets,dyestuff and narcotics.made it one of the busiest markets on the Silk Route.

MANALI is situated on the route to Leh. The Beas river flows through the town. On one side are the snow capped Himalayas and on the other side are coniferous trees among fields and orchards.This breathtaking landscape is an invitation for tourists , trekkers and adventure sport lovers.

DAY1: DELHI/MANALI

Take evening Luxury Volvo from Delhi at 4 pm.The journey overnight to Manali is 13 hrs with a stop for dinner along the way at 9 pm.

DAY2:MANALI

Arrival in Manali around  5 am.Upon arrival check in to your hotel.Spend the full day sightseeing in Manali. Places to visit are the Hadimba Temple, The Dhungri Temple, The Vashisht Hot Sulphur Springs, the Mountaineering Institute, Nehru Kund & The Mall

DAY3:MANALI/JISPA.

After breakfast begin your jeep safari to Jispa (3320 m). On the way stop at Rohtang Pass (3978 m) on one of the highest motorable roads in the world. We also visit Dashohar Lake and Beas Kund and drive past the green meadow at Keylong (3348 m).

 Arrive at Jispa and stay overnight in tents.

DAY 4: JISPA/SARCHU.

After breakfast leave for Sarchu on the border between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Here you can see the nomadic Gaddi people and an army outpost. On the way stop at Barchala Pass (4891 m). At Barchala, which means ” a pass with cross roads,” the roads from Ladakh, Zanskar, Lahaul and Spiti intersect.

Stay overnight at tents in Sarchu.

DAY5:SARCHU/PANG.

After Breakfast leave for Pang. On the way halt for lunch at Lachluang La (5079 m). Arrival at Pang in the evening.

Stay overnight in a tented camp at an altitude of 4630 m.

DAY 6: PANG/LEH.

After breakfast leave for Leh and drive though the vast Kyungshu Plains. You can see the Kiang, the Wild Ass of Ladakh, on these plains. On the way halt at Tangnangla Pass (5500 m). This is one the highest passes to have a metalled road.

Stay overnight at a hotel in Leh.

DAY 7: LEH.

Spend the day sight seeing in Leh.Places to visit are the Leh Palace.

DAY 8: LEH/DELHI.

Take the flight back to Delhi in the morning.
